Creating Picture Transparencies in PowerPoint – Advanced Technique

In this PowerPoint tutorial, I'll show you how to batch process your images in PowerPoint, so that you can add a picture transparency to multiple image s at the same time. The added benefit of this trick is that it automatically crops and resizes your images for you.
 
If you are simply trying to add a transparency to a single image, of if you don't want your images cropped into a rectangle or a circle, see our other basic picture transparency video.
 
As you cannot directly add transparencies to images in PowerPoint, the trick is to first fill objects with your pictures as shape fills. The reason this works is PowerPoint does allow you to add a transparency to shape fills…making this one of those GREAT workarounds in PowerPoint.
